Figs – dried


Research has shown that a diet that includes figs may help lower glucose levels and aid in liver and digestive functioning.  They also contain Calcium, Vitamin C, Vitamin A  the anti-oxidant, Beta Carotene, and Magnesium, and Potassium.  Figs are a fantastic source of dietary fiber as well.  Because figs are naturally sweet, they also make a wonderful alternative to foods with processed or refined sugar. Very common in French and Italian cuisines for adding and cooking with meat and poultry. Delicious and one of our favorite fruits on display for addition to muesli.
